TapeWare offers DR for Linux

Disaster recovery is a key area for both storage vendors as well as the broader IT world and Yosemite Technologies has created a disaster recovery (DR) solution for Linux enthusiasts. The product will be available through local distributor Intelligent Systems.

\”We believe Yosemite\’s disaster recovery product for Linux will quickly become an integral part of the Linux community,\” says Gerrit De La Rey, product manager at Intelligent Systems. The new TapeWare DR for Linux will include support for HP\’s OBDR function making disaster recovery a one-button proposition. It will also support CD image DR, IDE and SCSI DR and autoloader DR.

TapeWare DR for Linux is tested for Red Hat,Mandrake, SuSE, Debian and Slackware. DR for Linux is not the only improvement for TapeWare, says De la Rey. TapeWare 6.3 Service Pack 3A also features USB support, faster speeds and supported drive configurations for IDE, SCSI and RAID devices.
