Meraka takes Linux exams to Cape Town

The Meraka Institute has announced the September dates for the next set of Linux Professional Institute (LPI) exams, which will be held in Cape Town as well as Pretoria.

The Pretoria [1]exam[/1] will be held on Software Freedom Day on September 15 at the Meraka Institute. The Cape Town [3]Linux[/3] exams will take place September 29 and 30 at Futurex.

"Now we plan to kill two birds by one stone. We will be hosting two exams in September in different provinces. Last time we hosted an exam at LinuxHoldings and it was a tremendous success, as the figures doubled since the previous one," said Pumeza Ceza of the [2]Meraka[/2] Institute.

All levels are open and candidates are allowed to write any paper level of their choice. However, in order to receive the official qualification and certificate, it is necessary to complete the level below.

The fees for the exams go as follows:

LPI 102, 102, 201 202 cost R700 each.

LPI 301 & 302 cost R900 each.
