Novell BrainShare 2004 to Focus on Open Source, Security and Web Services

“BrainShare 2004 is going to be the most information rich and exciting conference we have held to date,” says Trish Barwick, Novell SA channel and marketing manager. “We have staked a serious claim on leading in the enterprise Linux space and together with our local partners, we will showcase the latest enterprise offerings in the market.”

Brainshare will be held between the 26th and 28th of May at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Barwick says from a technology perspective, Novell will be showcasing its complete Linux stack, identity management solutions, Web services and resource management tools during the event.

She says the very popular partner pavilion will also be included again this year and will this year feature presentations from the leading Novell partners in South Africa showcasing solutions they have delivered that are actively saving customers money, solving problems and delivering business value. And last but certainly not least, Brainshare 2004 will provide attendees with the opportunity to experience Open Source software first hand with an Open Source product showcase.

The Open Source product showcase will allow attendees the opportunity to touch and feel the Suse Linux operating system and the Open Source applications that accompany it. This will also be an excellent opportunity for attendees to get tips on how best to use and finely tune Linux and its accompanying Open Source applications.
