Big plans for Cape street mapping party

By   |  September 26, 2008

We originally wrote about Open Street Map in February last year. Since then the movement has grown rapidly and this weekend promises to be the biggest street mapping party in South Africa to date.

The street mapping party will start at Hout Bay in Cape Town on Sunday morning and will coincide with the opening of the FOSS for Geospatial conference in Cape Town. The FOSS4G conference will attract hundreds of experts from around the world to the mapping party.

Details on the mapping party can be found on the wiki and details of the conference can be found on the FOSS4G website.
