Ubuntu Open Week

By   |  October 30, 2008

Want to learn more about Ubuntu or do you have a burning question to ask of the developers? Then you’ll want to mark your calendar for next week because it is Ubuntu Open Week on your nearest IRC channel.

Ubuntu’s community manager, Jono Bacon, says that “Ubuntu Open Week is a week of IRC tuition and Q+A sessions all about getting involved in the rock-and-roll world that is the Ubuntu community. We organise this week for the beginning of a new release cycle to help new contributors get involved. Its going to be a fun week!”

Ubuntu Open Week happens from Monday 3 Nov – Friday 7 Nov and takes place in #ubuntu-classroom on the Freenode IRC network. Users can use a program such as XChat-GNOME in Ubuntu to connect and get involved.

The full programme of events can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOpenWeek.
