Oracle pushes out new application server version

Oracle last week unveiled its application server 10g release 2 with a host of new development tools for Linux, Solaris, HP-UX and Windows. This latest release has been uploaded to Oracle Technology to provide software developers access to the new version.

According to Francois Marais, principal consultant at Oracle South Africa, key the release includes a number of key new features covering business intelligence, J2EE/SOA, business integration enterprise portals, wireless and RFID, and identity management.

\”Major improvements have been made in performance, scalability, and particularly high availability and manageability with this release to further strengthen the ability to run enterprise applications on grid computing architectures,\” says Marais.

Marais says significant improvements have been made in functional, integration, stress, performance, high availability, and enterprise configuration testing.
