Novell rolls out SuSE 9.3

Novell yesterday announced SuSE 9.3 is available. This release, due to ship in mid-April, includes more than 3000 open source packages and hundreds of open source applications.

SuSE Linux 9.3 provides a peak into upcoming server-based Linux, including the XEN virtualisation environment and intuitive search engines. This release is available for 32-bit as well as AMD and Intel 64-bit processors.

SuSE 9.3 is built on a 2.6.11 kernel and includes both KDE 3.4 and GNOME 2.10. Desktop tools include Firefox 1.0 and OpenOffice.org 2.0.
