Novell South Africa has announced the speaker list for its annual BrainShare conference which will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre between the 19th and 20th of May 2005.

Marketing and channel manager Trish Barwick says \”this year\’s BrainShare will be one of the most exciting events Novell has held in the local market to date, with a conference programme that\’s specifically designed to showcase Novell and its partners\’ solutions in the areas of Linux and identity management.\”

BrainShare will this year be co-located with South Africa\’s first LinuxWorld conference and expo, which will be taking place over the same time period.

\”As speakers, we\’ve managed to secure Novell Vice President, Angie Anderson who will be delivering a keynote centred on Novell\’s current and future strategies with relation to its Linux platforms; HP\’s Martin Fink who will be talking about Novell and HP\’s strong go to market strategy with relation to Linux; and our own country manager Stafford Masie who will outline the Novell\’s strategy in terms of its local operation for the coming year,\” says Barwick.

\”For the more technically minded, there\’s also Ted Haeger, Erin Quill, Alan Mark and Guy Linardi who will focus on some of Novell\’s biggest news in the Linux and client/network operating system areas, both from
the perspective of what’s on offer today and where Novell plans to take these solutions sets in the coming years. Areas discussed by the experts will include Novell Linux Desktop and Open Enterprise Server, along with many other Novell solutions in the Linux and open source realms,\” says Barwick.

\”Of course, we also plan to bring attendees a wealth of information with regards to our Directory Services, ZEN, Small Business Server and EnteNd solutions sets, delivered by Novell gurus such as Chris Hyde, Justin
Taylor, Alan McCurdy and John Ovali,\” she says.
