Looking for a job and a way to promote free and open source software? The Free Software and Open Source Foundation for Africa (FOSSFA) is looking to hire a project manager.

The 12-month initial contract is for someone to manage existing Fossfa projects as well as to lead the development of new projects.

Other responsibilities will include preparations for the Idlelo 5 conference, provisionally planned for early 2012. The organisation recently hosted its Idlelo 4 conference in Ghana.

Fossfa also recently named its new executive which will have a two-year term. Watch Tectonic for an interview with the new executive later this week.

The Free Software and Open Source Foundation for Africa is a non-profit Pan-African organisation registered in Mauritius with a secretariat based at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT, Accra, Ghana.
