Weekend project: Run Ubuntu from a USB stick

By   |  January 18, 2008

Live CDs – versions of Linux that can be run directly from a CD – are among the coolest features of Linux. But CDs are not the most convenient items to carry around. A USB memory stick running Ubuntu is a much handier option. Debuntu has a handy, step-by-step, guide to doing exactly this (although you could also do this with other distributions). You’ll need an ubuntu liveCD, a usb stick of at least 1GB and a running Linux operating system.
