Beta tester seeks position: will work for beer

By   |  October 25, 2005

Beta testing is a tough and unappealing task, but 1 000 beers would certainly make the time worthwhile. One thousand German beers awaits the Linux enthusiast who crash tests BitDefender Mail Protection for Enterprises Beta most thoroughly.

BitDefender is also throwing in a trip to Romania where the alpha beta tester will — according to the press release — meet with Count Dracula, the BitDefender development team and other local luminaries.

The new BitDefender suite will offer protection against spam and viruses for enterprise Linux servers.

\”Beta testing is an important part of what makes our products great and we appreciate the effort of these guys in no small way,\” says BitDefender product manager Alexandru Balan.

Similar prizes will be available for the first three runners-up, with a special \”BitDefender Crash Test Dummy\” prize and title awaiting the creator of the most original way to crash the product.

A mailing list will be opened for testers to talk directly to BitDefender developers and in-house testers.

If you think you\’ve got what it takes to crash BitDefender — or to drink 1 000 beers — apply at http://www.bitdefender.com/en/Main/view/Crashandwin-Competition.html.
